This is a hand compiled index – no fancy software programme or ‘plug-in’ – reflecting my own idea of categories. Gujaratis don’t eat in ‘courses’ but I have grouped the recipes here in that way to give you an indication of how you might like to cook them.  There will be repetition, reflecting the different ways different people might look up a recipe. But, I hope you find it useful in finding your way around my blog.

  2. Hi Urvashi,

Just discovered your website via the Guardian (what to do with leftover onions) and its great to know that you are preserving traditional Gujarati recipes.
Since I moved to Belgium, it has become very important for me that I cook Gujarati and other Indian foods, especially for my son.
I shall certainly check your website for recipes in the future.

    Best wishes,

Jyostna Patel (Gujarati woman in Belgium)
